Submarine is a musical and playful performance about curiosity, hope, and floating and sinking at the same time.

The play had its world premiere at Haugesund Teater in 2020 and has now been introduced in our Tigerbussen in collaboration with HauT , Riksteatret , DKS in Oslo and Redd Barna . It will be performed from spring 2023.

The performance Submarine takes us a few years into the future…

The globe is covered in ocean. We can't breathe the air, it's poisonous to humans. In the middle of this ocean live Argentina and Dad, in a submarine fully equipped with

both a freshwater-producing pump organ, language lozenges and a real diving scope. There is also
a time machine in the submarine, which Mom built. But Mom disappeared, and together with the electric eel Lugar, Dad and Argentina search for travel nuggets that can start the time machine, so they can find Mom again.

In their search for the travel pieces, they encounter something unknown and new, which will have major consequences for their journey forward – and the journey back.

Periscope – Criticism of art for children and young people wrote in its review: "The most impressive thing is that the script, direction and acting do not shy away from truly serious themes such as eco-care, missing family members and the inadequacy of parents when it comes to protecting their children."
The new premiere in Tigerbussen was April 21, 2023, and as usual we will be performing outreach and for free, with a special focus on neighborhoods with a high rate of child poverty. Recommended target group 6–9 years old.
Please note that strobe lights and stage smoke are used in the performance.
