Two homes
What is it like to experience your parents moving away from each other?
The girl you meet in the play Two Homes experiences that her parents suddenly will no longer live together, and that she herself will have to live in two homes.
Last year, 20,000 couples were divorced or separated in Norway, and almost 25,000 children were separated. From 2010 to 2016, 6,612 children under the age of 18 in Oslo experienced their parents divorcing.*
Toril Solvang and Birgit Nordby have been involved in this issue for many years. Four years ago, they began talking to young people to find out how young people themselves put into words their experiences of their parents' breakup and living in two homes.
Birgit and Toril have spoken in particular to young people who have been part of the ROBUST program. This is Kirkens Bymisjon's offer to young people who need someone to talk to when they experience challenges and conflicts. If you want to know more about ROBUST, you can reach them on their website: www.kirkensbymisjon.no/tiltak/robust or by phone 920 32 916 .

Thanks to our regular partner Oslo Nye Teater for good advice, lending and help.
This show is not a true story, but it is inspired by reality.
Toril has taken words, themes and important points from the young people she has spoken to, but the girl you meet in the performance does not exist in reality.
She only exists on the theater stage.
This performance is made for those of you who have experienced this yourself, for those of you who know someone who has experienced it, or for those of you who are afraid that something similar will happen to you in the future.
Everyone has their own story and no story is the same!
We hope you can find something recognizable, something that makes it easier to talk about and share your thoughts with others.
