The Tiger Bus has a theater in its belly
We are building an interactive and all-encompassing show inside the Tiger bus.
The Tigerbus is a real tiger that drives around and looks after all the Oslo children in Tigerstaden. Inside the Tigerbus is a magical universe where anything can happen. Sometimes the Tigerbus is a theater in its belly. There, the Tigertrouppen plays the greatest stories they know – together with the children.
–We tell, true or false. It doesn't matter. As long as it's told, it exists , they say.
What the Tiger Troop doesn't know is that inside the Tiger Bus, there is Fantasia. Fantasia is the place where all stories are born. The place that keeps the world spinning and the stories alive. Inside Fantasia live the Fantasists who keep the wheels turning. In Fantasia, Fantasy energy is created, but sometimes it runs out of Fantasy energy. Then the Fantasists need the children so that they can tell new stories.
With the performance Tigerbussen hval ett theater i mågen, we want to give the children's audience a creative break, a visual fireworks display and an all-encompassing total experience. The performance should feel like a fresh, creative breath – after a year without an impression. A necessary replenishment and a memory for life!
The Tiger Troupe draws on Commedia dell'arte and other folk theatre traditions such as circus, carnival and touring medieval troupes. We have developed a set of characters who will accompany the Tiger Bus as audience hosts no matter what performance is being played inside the theatre.

THE STORY OF THE TIGER BUS
The Tiger Bus was once a real tiger in a world where stories become real. The little tiger was kidnapped by adults and sent to a country that could use its fur as a blanket. It ended up in Norway, and was imprisoned under Akershus Fortress in Oslo. One day it was found by a group of children who made it so strong that it was able to break out of its cage. The little tiger became super strong and super fast, and became the children's helper and protector in Tiger City. As the city grew, a child came up with the idea that the tiger should transform into a trailer. Another child came up with the idea that the trailer, which was called the Tiger Bus, lays eggs. And from the eggs hatch strange adults who play theater.
This is how the Tiger Troop was born. This troop follows the Tiger Bus everywhere and invites the children inside.
The Tiger Bus Opens Its Mouth When Children Roar. The Tiger Bus Has a Theater in Its Stomach is based on this story.
