About being small and brave when someone is big and scary

Something big, angry and scary lives in Lilli's house. She never has friends visit her, because at her house you have to be completely quiet so as not to wake the sleeping person. At Lilli's house there lives a Dragon.

Gro Dahle's book The Dragon becomes a captivating theater for children when Tigerstadsteatret and Turnéteatret in Trøndelag join forces to bring this important story to the stage. The Dragon is about having a hard time at home and having to be very brave even if you are a child.

The performance is dramatized and directed by Hilde Brinchmann and is produced by Tigerstadsteatret and Turnéteatret in Trøndelag.

The performance is best suited for children from 1st to 4th grade, and lasts about 1 hour.

"The award-winning and courageous author Gro Dahle writes authentically, truthfully and life-savingly for children. Being able to create theatre from the book ‹Dragen› is entirely in line with Tigerstadsteatret's vision that all children should experience theatre that can mean something to them, for the rest of their lives. That Turnéteatret in Trøndelag shows such a strong will to focus on the most important audience is inspiring and a strong motivation for a collaboration," says theatre director Wenche Viktorsdatter Paulsen at Tigerstadsteatret.

"Tigerstatsteatret is one of the country's leading creators of theater for children and young people. They take children seriously, and at the same time create magical theater experiences. Through collaboration with Tigerstatsteatret and Den Kulturelle Skolesekken in Trøndelag, we know that the performance will have a long life and reach children both in Trøndelag and in Oslo ," says theater director Nora Evensen at Turnéteatret.

Tigerstadsteatret in Oslo is a theater for children and young people that offers free, inclusive performances of high quality.
